And then there's Jack-in-the-Box tacos, the single greatest threat to
public health. We couldn't dominate the world economically, so we are instead
resorting to culinary genocide. You really need a first-generation European
immune system to survive that garbage.
In defense of British cooking, I would not hesitate to a decent roast of
beef with horseradish sauce and Yorkshire pudding at a Red Lion. Or steak &
kidney pie with a pint of ale. Or possibly bubble & squeek in dire times.
