If that happened where I live, the dogs in question would themselves be under

death.
We have a low tolerance both in law and in fact for roaming dogs which molest /
attack
neighbouring livestock. The dogs may legally be shot on sight while
trespassing, and the
owners hauled off to court by the cops.
It is the responsibility of the dog owner to ensure that they do not roam
and/or attack people
and livestock ... and dogs whose owners disregard this set of laws suffer the
penalty,
regardless of how loudly their owner squawks in court..
