My son bought a table that had been used in a bar and is a VERY large and solid
model. He had to renovate it by replacing all the players (new manager
syndrome) and a couple of rods and springs as well. He claims that spinning the
men is a foul - I argue that it's only a foul if the ball is kicked off the
table. My wife claims that she always loses only because her players are crap.
Still, much to my surprise, it has proved a very popular pastime for family,
friends and visitors to his home.
It's a stretch to claim I have a foosball injury (pun intended). I was walking
away from the table at the time I slipped. But it's an amusing claim to make.
Out for the season! Damn.
