Thanks, Bob. There are several main places you need to visit if you are
to retain Music Junkie status:
1) Memphis, birthplace of rock'n'roll and really the where the blues
came into its own;
2) Chicago, where the blues moved to another level as the poor Southern
African-Americans moved northward looking for jobs, also a lot of jazz;
3) Nashville, country music capital;
4) Detroit, home of Motown;
5) New York City, home to a significant amount of jazz, as well as music
labels and recording studios;
6) Los Angeles, West Coast home of the major labels and a number of
legendary recording studios;
7) London, incubator for all those musicians who were influenced by
Chicago and Memphis
At least I think so.
