I would add two European locations: Paris and Copenhagen, where several
American jazz greats spent significant time in the 1950s and 1960s, including
Dexter Gordon, whom I saw in one of my most memorable concerts ever in my
hometown in Denmark, Aarhus, in the early 1980s. He spoke Danish!!!
