I've had success with the rubber band method on several occasions. Doubt
that you will have to break out the Dremel. Bill Barber

I'm trying to get organized and pack photo stuff for Italy. I have a
yellow 62 filter that is stuck on a 58-62 step-up ring. I went so far as
to buy filter wrenches, I've heated and cooled and wet them. Nothing
works. Tom can't get them apart. The rims are so narrow that it's almost
impossible to get a grip on them even with the filter wrenches.
Does anybody have any suggestions or tricks to get them apart?
TIA
