You can get lovely backgrounds in this capacity best I can tell with
F5.6 and perhaps a half stop
further stopped down with the CV 125/2,5 apo Lanthar (Big Foot). The
only similiar lens that can out render Big Foot and be tack sharp wide
open is the new Zeiss APO 135 F2 which has some of the best MTF ever
measured by
Lensrentals. It seems to be a refinement of the CV125 design but only
goes 1:4 instead of 1:1. The SA is almost
perfectly corrected so I suspect the bokeh may be less nice than Big
Foot under some circumstances but it has
higher resolution wide open.
I think bull Moose bellow and don't bark but they can strip bark from
trees I have heard.
I am sure the Berkeley brethren would know.
Bellowing Mike
