Moose brings up a good point. But I believe one of the problems is that we
are no longer long-term system users anymore. Every few years we buy into
something else for whatever reason. The manufacturers have even pushed this
non-loyalty by coming out with different mounts, etc., which effectively
abandon the glass. The lenses are no more a long-term investment than the
bodies they are placed on.
