     The idea of using an SSD for the C: drive is intriguing as it would 
greatly improve the startup and shutdown times and very likely improve the 
speed of applications.  I use an external 2.5" IDE drive for data and backup 
software.  Using a compact flash in an adapter tray seems like a cost-effective 
way of having an SSD as a primary C: drive.
