That's a great idea and the photo has come out well in the dim and varied
lighting.
But I would adjust the pose a little to reduce the head-on stare:
1. Put the engineer in the "office" a little more obviously.
2. Have them facing away (slightly) but looking back (slightly) towards
you.
3. Get them to tilt the head slightly, in this case to his left.
In this case Wayne is staring at the camera, I believe, and it would be more
attractive if he were looking up a little.
I photograph each of our students, ugly blokes as well as pretty girls, and my
posing them is a bit of a in-joke, but they like the results.
