Different animals. We were talking (D)SLR focus, AF vs. MF, not rangefinder
overlapping spots.
I happen to have an intense distaste for RF focusing, but realize it is not
generally shared. I suppose if one can stand
it in the light, it would be useful in the dark. ;-)

They can put in as many focus points as they want, I only use the central one.
