I have a Canaan 5D personally and it works very well with the Big_IS
focus-confirming adapters, which are cheap and good. There are others just
a good I think, though maybe not as cheap. I know of several on list who
have 5DmkII's that they use with Zuikos.
I don't know anyone using a mkIII specifically for this. The mkII is as
far as I would go without being further committed to Canaan glass than I am
(which is nothing if you take into account that my two EOS zooms are
Tamrons). MkII gives you LV for critical focus. I am impressed with the
accuracy of the Big_IS adapters though, and using Zuikos on a 5D feels more
interchangeable with OMs themselves. (Not speaking of size, although you'd
need to put a motor on an OM body to do a direct comparison.)
The Big_IS provides some ability to use A mode. It doesn't log stops in
EXIF without a bit of fussing around. I don't bother with it as I usually
shoot at f8 and f11 except when it is obvious that I didn't. That's
precise enough for a Yankee farmer and the likes of me.
FWIW, these were entirely shot with the 5D and, mainly, the Z 90/2:
