The author is a Dutch cardiologist who covers his own lifetime of
personal experience and research and well as several other studies that
preceeded him. Very detailed and, I must say, rather convincing. He
convincingly dismisses the hypothesis that NDEs are caused by lack of
blood/oxygen to the brain and are similar to a pilots blackout.
I haven't finished it myself yet. I've only had it a few days and find
it difficult to put down.
