That was an interesting rundown, Ken.
I take group shots of my students every now and then; and last week I offered
to shoot the instructors of our sister squadron at our airfield because they
took some physical training instructors for a flight -- to mark a staff
changeover -- and I flew one of the instructors.
I found that my fellow pilots were relaxed enough, but the instructors, who are
NCOs, were very stiff. I had to ask them to tilt their heads to try to relax
the composition. But they didn't understand that and turned their heads
instead!
It came out OK in the end, though I managed to crop one of the instructors
unnecessarily through worrying about their stances (drat!)

The first one is of the chap I was flying; he was concentrating on flying while
I snapped him.
All shots taken with a G12; I'm dreaming of swapping it for a G1X :-)
