I learned to fly in a J-3, and did many stalls, and my instructor
demonstrated spins, but never knew of a stall warning device. After a fresh
engine overhaul, one of my friends took the Cub up to practice stalls, and
had the tight engine stop on him, requiring an off-airport landing.
