For the avoidance of any confusion, I am in no doubt that Chris Barker is an
experienced and currently active pilot. If Chris himself thinks I was
expressing doubt, "hook line and sinker" come to mind. I suspect (and hope)
not, but others may have been taken in. Caveat lector!

I don't see a smiley there, Chris.
I probably shouldn't rise to this, but I do feel that I should state my
credentials for you doubters.
I have around 5,400 hours of flying (airborne time, not "chock-to-chock") of
which around 1,500 is elementary flying instruction on light aircraft; I
have been an A2 QFI since 2004. Before that I instructed some of the USAF's
F16 pilots and I supervised Tornado pilots as a back-seat captain.
