What Moose said. No idea what has happened to total land volume above
sea level. Only land area could be addressed since the study was done
by comparison of historical aerial photographs and contemporary
high-resolution satellite images.
Some of the photos are 60 years old during which time the local sea
level has risen about 120mm. The land area should have shrunk. But
only 4 of the 27 islands studied had a smaller area. The other 23
either stayed the same or increased in area.
