When I've shipped high value items to the EU, I've used one of those clear 
stick-on sachets with an invoice inside it. The invoice is folded and the value 
cannot be seen unless you open it, which the customs do but baggage handlers 
and postal staff won't bother to do.. Safer that way. I learnt that from B&H!
