I've got into this thread very late in the day.
Am I right in thinking that Olympus does not make, or does not have readily
available, a hood for the 14-42 lens ? Or, as someone has suggested that the
lens build quality is so flimsy that it is not sturdy enough to hold the
hood in place ?
Back in 1970 I bought two user hoods for my Summarit 50mm / f1.5 lens. Made
of rectangular 1mm thick steel one could almost stand on them without
causing any damage ! Them's the days for build quality and product
longevity. Still have both of them !
