Good to see you back on the OM-list Olli, and good to see that the 50/3.5 is
still giving good service :-)
I can't help with any EOS question, but can tell you that trying to focus
manually on E-1 was painful, and I thought an AF-confirm chip would help. It
did not help at all, because it was almost impossible to tell precisely what
was in focus. A 5D might be easier, with a bigger screen (I guess), but the
focus screen not designed for manual focus will still be a problem.
BUT I second the suggestion that James made - the AF chip does help with
EXIF information for lenses which would otherwise be "unknown", and is
therefore worth the extra $$$.

Oh my. I should have studied the adapter a little more first. Now after
having read your comments I looked at the adapter again and finally
understood that the lens snaps firmly if I simultaneously
press the button on the lens :-} Hope that you get a laugh out of
this.
So when I have the body also I'll start testing with this adapter and then
buy another also (perhaps fotodox). Thanks for your help!
