A Sigma Ultra-Telephoto ? 

... They seem to have made several versions of the 500/8 with possibly only
cosmetic changes.
I first noticed these while trying to track down a reference to the Sigma
500 f4 mirror.

Your's has grips similar to the Spiratone Ultratel on ebay (190499719972)

Mine is very similar but has rubber diamond patter grips and glossy black
paint at the camera end just the inverse of yours. It is labeled "SIGMA
MIRROR ULTRA-TELEPHOTO". It appears to have at least two widely spaced glass
elements in front of the mirror. Although long for a mirror, it isn't
particularly heavy. A similar one is at ebay (180625801777)

There is a more cosmetically varied one at ebay (390261297402) offered for
sale at $200.

There is a 500/4 at ebay (280409224944) for $825.

Contrast is not bad, but it size keeps it at home... and yes, it is a 500.
