Yes, they do, Moose (have a default folder).
But I have tried to explain to my mother where that is when she ask how to find
her old files, especially as she has files from previous Macs. Remember also
that I have an inherent urge to demonstrate and teach the system to her, even
at the simplest level.
It's difficult over the telephone, although now that I have discovered Screen
Sharing in iChat, it is much easier.
