I'm with you Jim! I also don't use any of that auto stuff unless I need to.
Except I normally use IS to help reduce blur due to camera shake, matrix
metering because the Canon implementation is usually smarter than I am, and
auto focus because my eyes aren't what they used to be. On the other hand, I
do ride bare back when shooting the M8 or the OM-1n.
