Manual focus! A lot of the the difference between the OMs and Ms and
'modern' cameras is the various shenanigans that the camera goes through
to focus. With a relatively static subject manual focus will speed
things up. Since getting an E3 I have moved to more maual focusing. I am
moving more and more to taking control back from my damn cameras! If I
don't have a good reason to, I leave the automation off. No IS, no
matrix metering, and no autofocus unless I have a specific reason to use
them.
