Yes, the tires are fairly large at 235/55R17 and highly rated as rain
tires. I could have done better on price by shopping around I suppose
but I was determined not to drive that car one more day if it should
rain. In more than 50 years of driving I've never experienced that much
of a scare. There was traffic around me and I'm sure that I traveled
down the road for about 100 meters with the car turned sideways about
20-30 degrees. I'm sure everyone else was as scared as I was too. :-)
