The problem is who's going to sell them a sensor?  They don't have the 
wherewithal to make their own.  To get enough volume to interest someone 
like Kodak perhaps they need to form a consortium of "the other" DSLR 
makers such as Olympus and Pentax and whatever other camera makers they 
can convince to join up.
