I imagine newest 5D production would have clamp update. Later OMs like
PC/40 used 3-4 small dots of glued like silicon rubber to hold mirror
in. I saw mirror fall out in that model often while never seeing it in
OM-1 through 2N, which used small dots of 5 min. epoxy on the mirror. I
have seen it only a handful of times in the 4 series.
Sucky part about the PC/40 defect was that Olympus then started using a
larger mirror, which prevented you from popping the mirror off the frame
and gluing it onto the old frame. Job went from somewhat simple to a
complete disassembly to install a complete mirror (which was still glued
on).
