Agreed, and also...why do I have to completely upgrade to CS4 or CS5 to
get the version of ACR that supports the E-30 ORFs? As is I have to
convert the E-30 ORFS to DNG to use the version of ACR I have, and E-30
ORFs don't convert fabulously well to DNG and then the colors are
simply not like the Oly colors...making it all a big jumbled mess. I'm
sure some of you will remember the strange red and blue hash marks all
over the highlights when my E-30 ORFs were converted to dng and then
processed with ACR. In that light it's easier to shoot jpeg, but you
better not need to fiddle with the jpeg files too much, or there will
be other consequences to pay.
I know many others feel the same way about Adobe and their forced
upgrades...so I don't intend to go off on that, but it is maddening
when one gets a new camera only to find there isn't super fabulous
software to develop the RAW files with. And my E-30 is hardly "new"
anymore.

Why can't camera companies just leave well enough alone? They don't try to
make camera PHONES, do they, why try to be in the software business?
Although I'm not a fan of lightroom, I do like Leica's adoption of the DNG
format. I will probably be adding Capture one soon.
