I'm not sure I understand your logic. Might you be thinking regular 4/3?
Like the Leicas, the µ4/3 bodies have no mirror. Also, no matter the
mount or film/sensor size, a 50 mm lens set up to focus to infinity will
be the same distance from the film plane, in this case courtesy of the
LTM to µ4/3 adapter.
I'd think the only problem might be if the diameter of the protruding
rear part of the lens is too great for the adapter.
