Can't speak for the Panasonic, but the ZD 7-14 could not be better protected
against flare - I can't think of an occasion when flare has been evident,
even with the sun in the frame.

Here the Panasonic has little advantage, it has no filter thread either. But
its front element has a moderate curvature -- could it be better protected
against flare?
