Well, I just opened an entirely new ORF folder from an entirely
different session. This folder has never been opened in Olympus Master
before now.
The image I selected opened immediately directly in the Editor, with the
tray of all the other ORFs pictured down below. I can edit and save as a
JPEG straight from here, (but don't have WB options, although I do have
color balance options) and or I can select the RAW button at the top in
the tool bar. When I do that the RAW editing window opens as usual.
Don't know why.
