It worked perfectly.
I think my book has a typo, it says "Ctrl+A". (That selects the entire
canvas)
And the online resource I found says "Ctrl+alt+shift+O" Which really
does nothing if one uses "zero", and if one uses "o" then CS3 wants to
open a new file.
Neither of those work to flatten an image, but your Ctrl+E works
perfectly.
