Thanks for the clarification. It's an entertaining tale either way :) . I am rather surprised that Canon don't just pony up and have a marketable feature. The hack for the Canon really isn't that hard or really even a hack to my mind. It involves removing a cover of the slot for the CD tray and switching the country designation in the printers service setup. Once the physical stuff is done you just install the drivers and free software from the UK Canon site and away you go. Oh and you can print to the CD tray from any program too. It all very easy to do and totally reversible as a hack. Panasonic supposedly holds a US patent on CD printing. Epson pays Panasonic their royalty to be able to use CD printing in the US but Canon won't pay the freight.
