Yup, heparin (I think it is) abdominally. Had them daily after the
knees. While in the UK, I reported a swollen ankle to the local GP
and he sent me up to the Accy (Accident and Emergency) straightaway
to check for DVT's. While I was waiting for the ultrasound a few days
later, they gave me those to self-inject. It's easy - fine needle.
But spectacular bruising until you get the hang of it.
