Aha, this is what I was looking for: So not everybody prefers
"enhanced" images,
it all boils down to taste. As ever then, the compromise is probably
somewhere in-between,
but for the time-being, I shall not push my images too much after
scanning - heck, I am working
hard enough to print pretty pictures in the darkroom as it is, the
scanning is just for
sharing with the likes of you guys, and composition, focus, and
artistic merit does not
change appreciably with different levels of output sharpening.
