I use a an older version of this unit. A little bit more for the wireless convenience. Deluo also sells plain old data loggers too. I think all you need is any unit that saves a track which is then later matched to the time stamp of a photo using software. Even something like this: <http://jalbum.net/skins/skin/PositionMap> An advantage to the handhelds like the Garmin 60cx mentioned or the Magellan units is that you can set the tracking to "auto" rather than every second, 5sec., etc. This produces a much more usable track and doesn't burn through the memory. The cheap units mentioned didn't have that feature or I missed it. I need to look for a generic software only solution. This looks promising: <http://www.geosetter.de/en/> Mike -- _________________________________________________________________ Options: http://lists.thomasclausen.net/mailman/listinfo/olympus Archives: http://lists.thomasclausen.net/mailman/private/olympus/ Themed Olympus Photo Exhibition: http://www.tope.nl/ |
