I'm NOT ignoring Chuck's advice--have ebay will buy....
But, I'd still like to see if I can rip this pack apart and possibly replace
the cells. I like the idea of the self-contained aspect of this flash for
low-volume shooting where I might not necessarily want something else tying
me down. It pains me to have something as brilliantly designed as this,
dead as a doorknob. So here goes:
1. There are two screws down at the terminal end - Removed
2. There is a faux leatherette cap on the bottom - Removed
3. Under the faux leatherette cap are two metal holder clips - Removed
4. The shell of the battery is built in two halves, but are not separating.
This is where I am stuck. I've tried prying them apart but haven't "forced"
the issue too much yet. But I'm not getting anywhere.
Now, there is a possibility that somebody had glued the shell together, and
if that's the case then I'll just have to resort to firing up the dremel.
But I'm hoping for some hidden "Indiana Jones" type of soft spot to press
that releases the locks.
