Nice to know some things never change.
There's a whole community of open source and related people out there
who believe that Vista SP1 will save them. None of the third party C/C++
compilers produce executables that can access more than 32mb of memory*
under Vista. It appears to be an arbitrary limitation.
A single email from someone identifying himself as a MS guy or
contractor working on some aspect of Vista and saying that SP1 would
lift the restriction is being quoted back and forth on various websites.
I couldn't find a single reference on the official MS sites. The last
beta didn't, of course, change anything.
It is, of course, no problem for those with MS compliers or compilers
that link to the MS libraries. :-(

Remember when Bill Gates said no one would ever want more than 64kb of RAM?
