Breath would be written "breaþþ", and breathe "breaþ". However, in
contemporary Icelandic that þ sound is never found but at the beginning of a
word, it is thus replaced by ð, as the 'th' in 'the'.
And (to keep this on topic) Olympus would be pronounced 'olympuþ' if your
front teeth were missing.
