I see the option of high ISOs with relatively low noise as a paradigm shift. I clearly remember when ASA 400 color film was a clumpy mess and the Smart Set used only VPS and K25. IMO, C@non correctly identified vibration as a key source of degradation of quality of images. Their IS lenses and noise reduction algorithms for sensors allow me to make images in situations that previously required the use of flash. I know how to use it but there are a lot of situations in which it's obtrusive or impractical. Higher shutter speeds simply improve the chances of getting quality images. A full range of usable ISOs provide more choices of aperture and shutter speeds to control DOF and/or motion. my two lux worth/ScottGee1 On 3/9/07, Chuck Norcutt <chucknorcutt@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > I don't need ISO 3200 for a wedding.
