I have been using the V-700 for a couple of weeks now. I am very impressed with
results I have been scanning medium format (6x4.5, 6x6, 6x7, 6x9) both negative
and transparancy. The resolution is outstanding! Tho, if you scan a large film
at higher resolution the resulting files are humongus. This fact will
slllooooooowwww down all post processing. The color depth is beautiful and
latitude is excellent. I thought I had to settle for a flatbed scanner because
of the various formats I work in, but after using this V-700, I see no
compromise! I would give a strong recommendation for this scanner. It is not
necessary to go for the V-750 as the only difference is the bundled software,
which is no good anyway. Just get the Adobe CS or the Lightroom.

best dedicated film scanners. Check the very
detailed reviews here to see for yourself. Caution, there's lots of
data here. Maybe Moose (who has previously digested all of this) will
chime in with his top 1 or 2 picks. I'll be listening too since I'll
probably be buying a new scanner this year sometime.
