I used my grandfather's old "Sweet 16" a couple of years ago on a quail hunting
trip. It's darn near as good as new. They don't make stuff like that anymore.
There'a norhing like that click when you load it and close it. Parker went out
of business during WWI because they couldn't get the high-quality steel they
needed to make the guns. At least, that's what I've been told.
I wonder what the old Colt is worth. Maybe I should take it up to Dent Meyers
in Kennesaw, just a few miles away. He's a nut, but knows about this stuff, and
is, he thinks, Stonewall Jackson reincarnated.
