I think we have an absolute duty to call bullshit when we encounter it.
There is a difference between attacking seductive but worthless ideas and
attacking the person who express them.

I assume you are a very nice person and one deserving of respect and I mean
no insult to you whatever when I say: bullshit. If James insulted Christos at
all he plainly and simply was not doing so by calling bull on his analysis. In
my view he was just doing his duty.
We should get upset when our value as human beings is challenged; we
shouldn't when our ideas are.
Letting crap ideas stand unchallenged so that we might all get along is a
crap idea. That's my view anyway.
