I sold my E-500 to a guy in the UK. An older gentleman
I assume. Anyhow he paid me via Paypal - confirmed
shipping addres and everything. He paid one large
payment and sent the remaining amount in a smaller
payment.
The other day I recv'd an email from Paypal saying
that the smaller payment (around $70.00) may have come
from a fraudulent account and they have placed the
payment on hold.
In the meantime the buyer seems to have recv'd a
customs bill of $112.00. "Much to my delight I just
got a customs bill for $112!!!"
Then he writes and says this "I hate to say this, and
please it does not reflect my view, the parcel
may have attracted attention because of your name. The
world is increasingly paranoid and I hate it!"
This is not an Ebay transaction. Anyhow is $112 pretty
common for customs charge for a $500.00 item?
Thanks.
