very possible
Both the cost of the item and the postage are both taxable. If the postage
cost is not clearlt stated then the customs peole use their own scale
which is typically double to tripple the ammount actually paid.
there is a duty charge for cameras I think its 6.5% this is also
applicable to the postage.
then there is vat @ 17.5% on top and yes you have to also pay 17.5% tax on
the duty charge to and thepostage too.
then there is a processig charge of around 5 - 15 pounds.
When I buy from the USA I assume 25% increase in price.
