I bought McAfee on a deal where various rebates made it free. On my old 
Win98 notebook, it simply destroyed any usefulness. Boot up was a 
nightmare of unending messages and internet connections. It was worth 
less than the $0 I paid for it. I uninstalled and threw it away.
