It comes down to image content. If the image has plenty of
details and diagonal edges you will see the interpolation
artifacts. Just no way around it. However, if the image is
predominantly "smooth" to begin with--maybe people pictures, for
example where a bit of skin editing is going to happen, the E-1
is able to hold its own.
