Perhaps some of you non-sensorially challenged folks can explain something
to me. If Oly can produce a 10MP E-400 not for the U.S. market, what's
stopping them from producing the 10MP E-Whatever? Are we to assume the 10MP
sensor for the 400 is inferior to what Oly hopes to put in the E-Thing? I'm
not too brite in this area, but I do know all megapixels are not created
equal and therefore I have to assume the 400 MPs aren't quite up to snuff
when held to a real pro camera standard. Which, of course, makes me looks
more than sideways at the new Pentax K10D, which, I think, is 10 megapixels
_and_ a larger sensor. But, damn, I _like_ Olympus products, and the E-1 and
its accessories fit my style nicely, if only there was a wee bit more
resolution. <g> I don't want to abandon Oly, but they are trying me. Oh, yes
they are.,
Gee, I hope my frustration isn't showing too much. I had really hoped to
have a new E-Thing for the winter shooting season here in Maine, but
apparently that ain't going to happen, what with Oly having copied a page
from vintage Microsoft and undertaken specialization in vaporware.
Arrrgggg!!!
