No OnStar on the SSR. And I really don't much mind having the black box since
it doesn't track where I'm going, just how I'm driving to get there. If that
$12,000 LS2 engine self-destructs, the little black box will prove, hopefully,
that it did so on its own and not because of anything I did that might void the
warranty. And, in the event of an accident, it might be my best witness,
because despite false allegations that I was flying low and driving recklessly,
it will prove that I had been motoring along at a safe and sane speed, as is my
normal practice, being the sedate old coot that I am. ;-)
As an aside: If anybody wants a really good radar detector, get a Valentine
One. It's the best I've ever had -- not that I need one, of course.
