Thanks Bernard. It's interesting to try to absorb your experiences. I
agree with you where our experience overlaps. I use ACR for quick and
dirty conversions but wait for Viewer for the important stuff. I
upgraded to v.1.5 in hopes for some improvements in the way it works
with memory, but it's no better. I think our processors are just too
old and slow.
When I move to a higher MP camera (even if it be only an E-330), I
will have to get a new PC first. I can just barely stand it now when
working with E-1 files in Viewer. (Mac people: please don't tell me
to get a Mac. I am dead to advice and already know how to beat
Windows into submission.)
